What is healing?

Renowned intuitive and healer, Tina Zion, simply and beautifully defines healing as “a release or a relief of a burden”.

And researcher Thomas R. Egnew explored this question in his interviews with 7 allopathic physicians who were chosen for their expertise in areas relevant to his research on the definition of healing, finding that:

“Healing [is] associated with themes of wholeness, narrative, and spirituality.

Healing is an intensely personal, subjective experience involving a reconciliation of the meaning an individual ascribes to distressing events with his or her perception of wholeness as a person.

Healing may be…defined as the personal experience of the transcendence of suffering.”

~ From Thomas R. Egnew “The Meaning of Healing: Transcending Suffering”, (The Annals of Family Medicine, 2005)

May we experience healing together as we release and relieve our burdens, transcend our suffering, reconcile ourselves with our own lives, and experience wholeness.
